Who I am

I'm Selina Nguyen (pronouns she/they) and I'm a sex and relationship therapist and founder of Come Back to Bed. I work on Gadigal Land/Sydney, Australia offering online and in-person therapy at Good Vibes Clinic. I'm also an educator and counsellor for Date-Ability, a dating and relationship skills program for folks with disabilities.

I've spent years studying the science and the art of good relationships and good sex. With qualifications in psychology, sociology, family and relationship counselling, and psychosexual therapy, I provide the intersection of current research, clinical expertise and life experience. In the online world, I'm known for my writing and collaborations with brands to create resources on my favourite topics including consent, pleasure and relationship skills. I started my Instagram @comebacktobed_ at the beginning of my journey to become a sex therapist, and this paved the way for birthing Come Back to Bed.

Values and identities include: The lenses through which I see the world and my practice is influenced by being Asian-Australian, queer, feminist and a cisgender woman living without disability. I aim to be transparent in all that I do, and I work from an inclusive, non-pathologising and trauma-informed approach. I believe in the healing power of good relationships, and the need for us to learn how to be good romantic and sexual partners. Anchored in somatic, queer and intersectional theories, I believe in empowerment through education, pleasure and connection.

Areas of interest/specialty include: relationship concerns and conflict, pleasure education, relationship or sexual anxiety, desire or desire discrepancy, porn use, and working with queer folks, people of colour, non-monogamy and other under-served communities.
